Long known for its deeply-rooted history in the sport of polo, the Greenwich Polo Club has quickly developed a reputation for playing host to high performance show jumping. After a wildly successful 2021 debut, CSI Greenwich will return to the venue for its second annual event with an expanded schedule, Oct. 6-8, 2022. Created to showcase the elite show jumping sport in the greater New York area, CSI Greenwich made its debut as a unique one-day event last fall, when Nayel Nassar (EGY) and Sydney Shulman (ISR) excited with their inaugural wins in the CSI3* and CSI2* Grand Prix events, respectively. This year, the show boasts a three-day schedule and will once again offer CSI3* and CSI2* divisions. Entries will again be limited to 35 horse-and-rider combinations per division. CSI Greenwich is the brainchild of former World No. 1 Kent Farrington, who sought to bring the feel of a European show stateside, with a focus on top quality sport and an intimate, modern event experience. CSI Greenwich will offer a limited quantity of spectator tickets, with a variety of seating and experiential options based off the success of the popular Sunday Polo events at GPC.
"I'm really pleased to be able to continue this relationship with the Greenwich Polo Club and bring CSI Greenwich back to such a unique, historic venue," Farrington said. "Last year's event was very successful, and I'm grateful for the support and the great feedback we received. It's great to see both the local and sport communities get behind this, and there is still a lot of room for growth as we look toward the future."
