Langley, BC — After a two year hiatus, the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of Canada is set to return to Thunderbird Show Park's CSIO5*/CSI2* Odlum Brown BC Open, June 1–5, 2022.

The jam-packed, celebratory week of elite show jumping competition will feature both five-star and two-star divisions, as well as a CSIO junior division, showcasing some of the sport's most exciting young talent.

International competition begins Thursday, June 2, with the first highlight set for Friday, June 3 in the $235,000 CSIO5* Longines Grand Prix. Saturday, June 4 will put young riders in the spotlight with the CSIOJ Junior Nation Cups between the United States, Canada and Mexico, while the two-star division will conclude with its $37,200 Grand Prix 1.45m.

On Sunday, June 5, tbird will host the only qualifier in the country for October's Nations Cup Finals in Barcelona, Spain with the $400,000 CSIO5* Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of Canada—one of the venue's most popular events. The most historic team competition in the sport of show jumping, the Nations Cup will field six international teams: Canada, United States, Mexico, Australia, Ireland and Israel.

Tickets are on sale now at tbird.ca/tickets.

Team Canada celebrated a home win when the event was last held in 2019. This year the Canadian squad will be led by a newly appointed chef d'equipe in Canadian Olympic champion, Eric Lamaze. His team will consist of Mario Deslauriers, local favorite Tiffany Foster, Ali Ramsay, Jacqueline Steffens and the in-form Beth Underhill.

The Canadian squad kicked off the 2022 qualifying season within the North and Central American and Caribbean division with a runner-up finish in Mexico in March.

Catch all the action from the Fort Grand Prix Arena live on tbird TV. The Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of Canada will be streamed on FEI TV and, in Canada, on tbird TV.
